Worship God for Who He Is, Not Out of Fear
The Lord does not want us to live in fear. He does not want us to be uncertain about where we stand with Him and He's not interested in having a bunch of people follow Him simply because they're scared. The Lord is not a ruler operating by command of fear, but instead merciful, gracious love. His perfect love has cast out our reason to fear the Lord's judgement against us. We have been set free from fear through His love.
We worship God because of who He is. God is more amazing than anything we can comprehend. All of our praise and gratefulness should be directed towards Him. Sometimes we allow our schedules and busy lives to determine how much time we have to spend worshipping God.
But He wants us to stay in a continuous attitude of worship in everything we say and do. And He requires that it comes from a heart that worships Him in truth. God desires worship that is pure and uncoerced. God knows the real intentions of our motives.
The amount that we worship God is often based on how much He means to us. When we think about all that God has done and His mercy toward us, praise should flow from our hearts.
